Toyota STEM initiative

This week, Toyota announced that they were giving $1.9 million in grants to educational programs that are STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and math, focused. These grants will serve diverse communities all over the U.S.

“We know that the future of our society will be built on increasingly sophisticated technological expertise and innovative problem solving,” said Toyota USA Foundation President Michael Rouse. “That’s why Toyota USA Foundation is proud to support these nonprofits, who are creating exciting opportunities to train and inspire that next generation of leaders in science, technology, engineering and math.”

From helping with general science programs to targeted STEM curriculum classroom aids, the grants will help schools increase access for students to new STEM jobs, research and tools. The Toyota USA Foundation is a charitable endowment that supports innovative programs and is dedicated to improving STEM programs across America.

We at Dick Poe Toyota are excited to see how the schools that received grants from the Toyota USA Foundation will benefit from the granted funds. Supporting communities is exciting and very rewarding and like the Toyota USA Foundation, we believe in the power of young minds and how they will shape our future.
